PROVEN REPUTATION FOR RELIABILITY AND SAFETY

The Group operates two ports: the highly successful Changshu Xinghua Port Co., Ltd (CXP) and the adjacent Changshu Changjiang International Port Co., Ltd (CCIP), which was acquired in early 2014. The two ports provide comprehensive port and logistics solutions in partnership with international and domestic shipping companies, cargo owners and receivers.

The ports are renowned for their high integrity and efficiency. They have a combined land area of 1.36 million square metres and a total berth length of 2.57 km. The water depth of CXP is up to 13.3 metres.

Together, the ports offer 16 multi-purpose berths, 18 shore cranes, two quay cranes, a mobile harbour crane, 20 warehouses and stackyards with a total area of nearly one million sq metres.

Changshu Xinghua Port Co., Ltd (CXP)

CXP is jointly developed and owned by the highly regarded Chinese government-led Jiangsu Changshu Economic Development Group and Singapore investors. The port facility has rapidly developed into a key regional hub for high-value finished steel products and project equipment as well as import cargoes such as pulp & paper and logs for robust domestic markets.

Since its beginnings as a greenfield port in 1997, CXP has established a reputation for safety and reliability in cargo handling. It is counted among China’s top 10 Class One international river ports.

In 2016, CXP was ranked in an independent report by Frost & Sullivan as:

  • 2nd in China for throughput volume and revenue of pulp cargo
  • 5th in China for throughput volume and revenue of logs cargo, and
  • 23rd in the Changjiang River Delta Region for total throughput volume.

Changshu Changjiang International Port Co., Ltd (CCIP)

CCIP complements the larger CXP next door. The two ports in combination offer a synergistic and complete suite of logistics hubbing solutions. With its berths in an F-shaped configuration, CCIP enables a more efficient berth allocation of smaller vessels and river barges, saving time and costs for cargo and vessel owners.

Its expanding range of cargoes include pulp and paper, steel, logs, project equipment and other general cargoes.
